How To Return or Exchange An Item

We want you to love your Stella & Dot! If you are not completely smitten, you can return them within 60 days. You may return unworn jewelry in resalable condition in original packaging, for a full refund, less the cost of shipping, within 60 days of the date of purchase. If your product has a manufacturer defect, we’ve got a lifetime replacement policy. For your convenience, please handle your returns directly with the home office of Stella & Dot instead of through your stylist.

60 Day Money Back Returns

  1. Fill out the return request form online
  2. Print the Return Confirmation page and include it with the products that you wish to return.
  3. Please be sure to include a copy of your original invoice with the original packaging. A 20% restocking fee will be charged for items not returned in their original packaging. Items that have been worn and are not in resalable condition are not eligible for return.
  4. Include the return authorization number on outside of your package.
  5. If you want a different item then the one you originally ordered, you simply complete a return and then make another purchase.
  6. Follow return mailing instructions provided on your return request confirmation email.
  7. Kindly allow up to 14 business days from the date the return is received at our warehouse to process your return credit. We strongly recommend that you send your return in a traceable method and save your tracking information.

Lifetime Replacement for Manufacturers Defect

After ensuring your return qualifies for replacement by reading the below policy, follow the steps above.

Lifetime Replacement Guarantee

After 60 days, an item may be exchanged due to a manufacturer’s defect only. Examples include:

  • Non-functional clasp
  • Different lengths then described
  • Abnormal discolorations (beyond normal variations in natural stone colors)
  • Jump ring or chain link that is not closed properly

Normal wear and tear, not eligible for replacement, includes:

  • Jewelry that falls off and is broken or lost
  • A child pulling on jewelry or catching on something that causes it to stretch or break
  • Dents and scratches that happen during normal wear
  • Jewelry worn in water, causing the jewelry to change in color
  • Gold plating that wears off over time is normal for gold plating; this is not a manufacturing defect, but is standard
  • Slight irregularities and variations in stone colors or pearl shape, and inclusions are characteristic of the uniqueness and individual handcraftsmanship of each product and should not be considered defective.
  • Sterling silver that tarnishes. All silver tarnishes and should be cleaned with silver polish
  • Stones that come loose from settings when banged or dropped
